| Our idea is to give
forestry students the opportunity to exchange information
and experience by participating in discussions and
workshops. Several topics related to the overall topic "New
ways in forestry" are going to be deepened during a one-week's-tour through Switzerland. Experts
from university as well as from practical forestry will guide us through their forests and
present their visions of a new approach in forestry. The Academic Forestry Association (AFV) undertakes to develop an understanding for the international cooperation and to help building precious relationships among the forestry students. After being host of the International Forest Student Symposium in 1991 and of the Western European Regional Meeting in 2001, the Academic Forestry Association is now organizing an exchange with members of the International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA). The Academic Forestry Association is an organisation of all forestry students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH). The Academic Forestry Association represents the students' interests and is a platform for the students. The International Forestry Student's Association is a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience between students and functions as a source of information about events at universities worldwide. |
